Dr. Kat Zarychta

Dr. KaT Zarychta is a healthcare innovation leader, strategic advisor, mentor, and executive coach with more than two decades of experience across business development, technology, and healthcare solutions. Her work focuses on helping leaders, entrepreneurs, and organizations turn scientific and technological innovation into practical, scalable impact.

She holds a PhD from Sorbonne Paris University’s Laser Physics Laboratory, along with master’s degrees in Biophysics, Biomedical Engineering, and Technology Transfer and Innovation. She has also completed programs at Harvard in entrepreneurship, innovation, strategy, negotiation, finance, digital health, and artificial intelligence.

As an Expert Advisor and Evaluator to the European Commission, Dr. Zarychta has reviewed more than 1,000 research and innovation projects across major European funding programmes. She also advises research and innovation institutions in Cyprus, Montenegro, and Poland, mentors founders through initiatives including WomenTechEU, and works with venture funds and innovation hubs across Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, and the Middle East.

As Senior Director at IFIMES, the International Institute for Middle East and Balkan Studies, she advises governments, international institutions, and corporations on global health policy, economic development, and geopolitical strategy. Her industry experience also includes leading the European launch and commercialisation of a cancer therapy, expanding its market reach and supporting greater patient access.

Fluent in seven languages, Dr. Zarychta brings a cross-cultural perspective to her advisory, speaking, and writing work. Her areas of interest include artificial intelligence, women’s health, mental health, longevity, patient advocacy, and the development of more inclusive and human-centred healthcare systems.
